CarMD began with a simple belief: Understanding what's wrong with your vehicle shouldn't be harder than putting gas in it.
In 2006, founder and CEO Ieon Chen set out to make automotive diagnostics accessible to everyday drivers. The result was one of the first consumer-focused check engine light diagnostic solutions, giving vehicle owners access to information that had traditionally existed almost exclusively inside repair shops.
