UI/UX Designer
The UI/UX Designer is the synthesis of design and development here at CarMD. This is your passion and you are a visionary who can execute. He/she will need the experience and skills to develop and design the next generation of CarMd’s online products. He/she will partner with interaction designers, subject matter experts marketers and software engineers to help define and deliver new features, layouts, completed designs front and back end, while testing and adapting to new concepts and assist with final implementation. He/she will be a crucial link between product design and product development, serving as the design team’s ambassador to developers, and the development team’s ambassador to the designers.
Responsibilities
Effectively gather and understand user requirements from project management team, in collaboration with product managers and engineers
Illustrate and present design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
Graphic design user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
Collaborate with design and development team to create, revise, and deliver engaging prototypes
Run usability tests against those prototypes and resolve user issues
Communicate interaction details of approved prototypes to dev teams
Capability to resolve front-end engineer final development requirements
Update and fix small details in existing products to improve overall fit and finish
Install and configure analytics tools and user testing software
Own and maintain the UI and UX Framework
Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Adhere to company style guide standards on fonts, colors and images
Collaborating with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design idea
Requirements
Undergraduate degree preferred, Masters Degree ideal
Minimum 5+ years developing clean valid and Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
Portfolio of design projects, work samples require to be presented.
Knowledge of wireframe tools, creating wireframes samples required (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
Up-to-date knowledge of design software, all Adobe Creative suite tools
Experience in research and usability testing, quick correction time
Team spirit; effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders with strong time management skills.
Design portfolio showcasing talent for visual or interaction design.
Position needs to be in house but has an option to be contract or temp to hire basis
BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
